Built-in MIDI Synthesizer bug?

Trouble with Synthesia, your keyboard, or adapter? Think you found a bug?
When describing problems, always mention your OS and game version (shown at the bottom of the title screen).

If your keyboard has USB or MIDI ports, there is a tremendously high chance (>99%) it will work with Synthesia. See what you'll need on the keyboards page.

I go to "Built-in MIDI Synthesizer" on Synthesia as normal and select any .sf2 file, and while it can be heard, I have noticed the normal DLS music synth sound overlapping or playing on top of it, either masking or replacing the SF2 sound, but not all SoundFonts have this problem. I think it's an issue with the coding maybe or something else with the built-in MIDI synthesizer.

Game version: Synthesia preview-10.10.5933

OS version: macOS 12.5.1
System specs: Apple M1, 16GB of RAM, has 24-inch Retina display.

Either it's my iMac's MIDI synth, a bug within Synthesia which causes an overlap in synth sounds, or the built-in speakers.

Has anyone else found a bug like this on macOS?

Do you have any other Music Output devices disabled on the Settings screen? This is the first report I've heard about anything like this. Strange.
