Dear Synthesia Development Team,
I am writing to propose a feature enhancement for Synthesia that I believe would greatly benefit users who practice piano pieces using your software.
When practicing piano songs in Synthesia, I often use the "Personalize" mode to separate the tracks for the left and right hands. It would be incredibly helpful if the notation display could automatically adopt the division into treble and bass clefs based on the left and right hand tracks in the piano roll.
This feature would streamline the learning process by providing a more intuitive and musically accurate representation of the sheet music, aligning with traditional piano notation standards.
Machine learning could be used for automatic division into separate parts for each hand. I found these two projects for this purpose: "midi_hands" (https://github.com/sarapple/midi_hands), "Piano-Hands" (https://github.com/asigalov61/Piano-Hands)
Best regards,
Lutz

Sorry.

But you are correct: the place I would prefer to handle this is via correctly encoded MusicXML files. The sky is the limit on automatically-detected, fancy AI stuff but there is no substitute for having high-quality input in the first place.
