I am running synthesia10.8.5686 on Windows 11
Recently when playing a midi file the first 3 or4 bars seems to stutter then it settles down for the remainder.
I have had some issues with windows OS recently so its possible some of the interventions have changed something I guess.

I have deselected system limit thread affinity and system elevate priority but it hasn`t helped

After more than a decade of trying to track this down, I think I have a pretty good idea of what's going on here. It is Synthesia's fault and nothing to do with your system. Still, it's kind of a pervasive thing that will take lots of effort over time to solve.

Curiously, the little hiccups in the first few seconds of a song don't seem to happen in the Mac version of Synthesia, despite running identical code over there. It's more to do with the interaction of Synthesia's code and the way Windows handles (many, repeated, high-frequency) memory allocations.

I don't have an exact time-frame for when this will be solved, but it's one of the higher priority performance bugs I'd like to tackle soon.
