I think this tool i stumbled across could be useful in helping people get more comfortable with reading notes. It's a Java program called Jalmus. You can train notes, chords, etc, and also train your rhythm. I've only checked out a little bit of it, but I'll be using it for note and chord training when my USB-MIDI cable arrives. I just tested it shortly, my opinion so far: Very good and is fun! Thanks for the link.

I have seen other like it but with a different goal .Anyway great job but i prefer learn songs than notes :)

but learning to read with a song is more fun.
