Support » Enabling sheet music
In this guide, we are going to learn how to display sheet music while playing a song in Synthesia.
While playing a song, the gear icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen will show display settings for both the sheet music and falling notes.
If the icon doesn't appear, you'll need to assign a hand to at least one part in the song. Follow step 4 from the First-time setup guide.
To quickly show or hide the sheet music, you can use the Toggle Sheet Music shortcut which is set to F2 by default.
You can make the sheet music larger or smaller. First, pause the song. Then adjust the size with the magnifying glass icons that appear at the far right side of the sheet music area.
To quickly cycle through a few preset sheet music sizes, use the Toggle Sheet Music Size shortcut, which is assigned to F3 by default.
If you prefer sheet music to the falling notes, using the same gear menu to disable the falling notes will extend the sheet music view to multiple lines and fill the screen.
To do this quickly, use the Toggle Falling Notes shortcut, which is set to F5 by default.
